About
In the 1970s, Muslims arriving in Bath for study and work began praying in Mr. Diya Eddin Al-Muzaffar’s home, which was later purchased at half price to establish the city’s first mosque – the Al Muzaffar Mosque. Formed in 1983 by a diverse group of international students, the Bath Islamic Society has since united Muslims of all backgrounds under one roof and remains Bath’s only mosque today.
